Great Hammerhead (Sphyrna mokarran) denticle print is a photograph of the skin of a Great Hammerhead taken with a scanning electron microscope. The Great Hammerhead, the largest of the hammerheads and is one of the great predators in tropical waters. It is known to reach 19 ft, although sharks larger than 12 ft. are rare these days. Great hammerheads are often seen chasing and capturing large tarpons in shallow beaches in summer.
